DeLeon & Stang Welcomes Daniel Willard, New Staff Auditor, to the Team

GAITHERSBURG, MD – On June 1, DeLeon & Stang officially welcomed Daniel Willard, to the team as a Staff Auditor.

"DeLeon & Stang is thrilled to have Daniel join our team," said Co-Managing Partner Brad Hoffman. "His previous career in business management gives him diverse experience that will be beneficial when working with clients." and brings differing expertise to the DeLeon & Stang team."

Daniel earned his BS in Accounting from the University of Maryland University College in 2019 and is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. Prior to pursuing a career in accounting, Daniel worked extensively in business management. He found accounting to be a challenging and exciting aspect of business management during this time, steering him toward specializing in accounting.

"My philosophy, when it comes to work, is to ensure the clients' needs are met in a timely and meaningful manner," said Daniel. "I aim to bring a level of energy and excellence to every endeavor."

As a Staff Auditor he works alongside the Lead Auditor and Partner in Charge to assist during audit engagements. These responsibilities include conducting audit tests, working with clients to obtain materials, and helping wherever else needed to complete the engagement.

"What has stood out to me most since joining DeLeon & Stang has been the focus on clients and their needs," said Daniel. "This is in tandem with how DeLeon & Stang treats their staff as well. I have found that the quality of life here to be exceptional."

As the DeLeon & Stang team proceeds during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Daniel will continue to work remotely with clients. He is excited to grow in the DeLeon & Stang family and has aspirations to complete the CPA exam in the next few years.
