FREDERICK, MD, October 30, 2026. Chris Catlett joined DeLeon & Stang in October 2026 as an In-Charge Auditor, bringing several years of experience in the accounting field. He works primarily with nonprofit organizations, helping them through their annual audits by reviewing financial information, identifying potential risks and making sure their financial statements are accurate and compliant.
Chris’s interest in accounting began in college, where a few accounting courses sparked his interest and led him to change his major to accounting. He describes himself as dependable and enjoys the attention to detail and problem-solving that come with the work. His favorite professional quote, “Trust, but verify,” reflects how he approaches it.
Chris earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Shepherd University in 2024.
Originally from Martinsburg, West Virginia, Chris now lives in Falling Waters, West Virginia, with his wife, Maddie. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, watching soccer, spending time outdoors and hanging out with friends and family.
