FREDERICK, MD, Jan 2, 2024—DeLeon & Stang teamed up with the Key City Athletics Foundation again to bring holiday cheer to local children in need with their annual Toys for Tots toy drive. At the end of the drive, the team’s collection box, located at the Frederick office, was overflowing with new toys. Their donation was part of the over 17,000 toys that were donated city-wide for this year’s Toys for Tots drive, which helped over 2,500 children receive presents.

“The Toys for Tots toy drive is one of our favorite service projects every year,” said DeLeon & Stang Managing Partner Brad Hoffman. “Each year, our team goes above and beyond to give these kids a magical holiday season, and we look forward to participating for years to come.”

The drive is a longstanding tradition at DeLeon & Stang, with 2023 marking the fifth year the firm has participated and the second year the firm has teamed up with the Key City Athletics Foundation. Toys were collected in a donation bin at the Frederick office from mid-November to mid-December, with one final push at the firm’s annual holiday party. While the box was already overflowing, it didn’t stop team members from bringing roughly 20 more toys to the party.

The toys that DeLeon & Stang donated were picked up by a group of Marines and distributed to local children in need in Frederick County. The Marines from Toys for Tots gave each child a new book and three packets of educational coloring pages in addition to the donated toys.

Toys for Tots

The basic mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Program is to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas. Through the gift of a new toy, Toys for Tots helps bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to America’s less fortunate children.
