Greg joined the DeLeon & Stang team as a result of the 2013 merger with Glen Todd & Company, P.C. His work mainly consists of estate, trust, and gift tax return preparation and review as well as working with high-net-worth individuals.
Greg has been in the accounting business for over 25 years and admits that he did not go about it in the traditional way. After obtaining his undergraduate degree in finance and then a Master of Business Administration, he went to work in the banking industry. While working for various banks, he became an expert on estates and trust taxation and administration. After joining a public accounting firm, he then went back to school to pick up the remaining credits to be able to sit for the CPA Examination. He passed the exam on his first attempt, obtaining his CPA designation in 1999. Although his primary expertise is in estates and trusts, Greg has many years of experience in other aspects of accounting, including tax preparation and planning for clients in the consulting, legal, and professional services industries.
Others would describe Greg as knowledgeable, dependable, and friendly. His business philosophy is built off of always giving your best effort to serve the client, working hard, and being honest. Greg is also working to teach the next wave of accountants his knowledge in various areas of taxation.
Greg grew up in a small town in West Virginia called Tornado. He now lives quietly in Middletown, Maryland. He loves the small-town feel and has lived on Main Street for over 30 years. He has three grown children and a black cat named Yoruichi. In his free time, he enjoys running, watching sports, listening to music, and reading.
