Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless (MCCH) Volunteer Appreciation

On July 20, 2014, The Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless (MCCH) volunteers and staff enjoyed delicious food from Famous Dave’s at our pregame picnic before heading over to Shirley Povich Field to watch The Bethesda Big Train. They played games at the picnic such as a balloon race, sack race, and other field games for all ages! Then it was time to head over to watch the baseball game. Youth leader and DeLeon & Stang team member, Prabhula John and The We are the Might Youth of Rockville Church of God collected funds by selling baked goods throughout the year and washing cars in their church parking lot in an effort to support the organization in distributing gifts for Christmas 2013. The MCCH leads the effort to end homelessness in our community by creating housing options, providing supportive services, and facilitating collaboration, education, and advocacy based on the belief that every person is entitled to the dignity of a home.
