DeLeon & Stang Goes Purple for Substance Abuse Awareness

WASHINGTON, DC Metro Area, September 2019—Although DeLeon & Stang has offices in Frederick, MD; Gaithersburg, MD; and Leesburg MD; all three DeLeon & Stang offices participated in the Frederick Goes Purple Initiative, an addiction and substance abuse awareness initiative in Frederick, MD. Team members were given purple shirts to wear and raise awareness, but the efforts didn’t stop there. DeLeon & Stang donated food every Friday to a halfway house in Frederick County, and sponsored several Frederick area National Recovery Month events.

Frederick Goes Purple is a community-wide call to action aimed to educate about addiction and reduce substance-related deaths and overdoses, that place during National Recovery Month in September. Frederick Goes Purple encourages the community to obtain training that brings awareness to mental health and substance abuse, as well as celebrating those that are in recovery from addiction.
