DeLeon & Stang Supports Breast Cancer Awareness in Frederick County

FREDERICK, MD, Oct 13, 2024—The team at DeLeon & Stang made strides for breast cancer research by participating in two impactful events in Frederick County, MD. On Saturday, September 21, 2024, the DeLeon & Stang team participated in the 2024 Hangarfest, and on Sunday, October 13, 2024, they were seen at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. At these events, DeLeon & Stang joined families, community members, and individuals with the common goal of combating breast cancer and supporting those who are impacted by it.  

Rockin’ Out for a Good Cause  

To kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month, DeLeon & Stang proudly served as a Silver Sponsor for the 2024 Hangarfest in Hagerstown, Maryland. A group of DeLeon & Stang team members, including Brad Hoffman, Kelly Phelps, Steven Kurinsky, Dara Rivera, Allyson Thomas, Mackenzie Farran, Danny Rossomondo, and Todd Hershey, attended the event. They enjoyed the festive atmosphere, live music, delicious food, and dancing, all while contributing to an important cause.  

Walking for a Cure  

Continuing their eight-year tradition, the DeLeon & Stang team laced up their walking shoes for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on October 13th to support the American Cancer Society

This year, the DeLeon & Stang team included Clint Lehman, Michele Mills, Mackenzie Farran, Cristina Delatorre, Kelly Phelps, Maggie Sideras, Rich Stang, Zander Fourie, and Angie Sfrisi. Together, the DeLeon & Stang team completed the 3.1-mile course at Mt. Airy Park and raised $200 for breast cancer research.  

Making Every Step Count  

DeLeon & Stang is committed to making a positive impact on their community. By taking part in initiatives like the Making Strides Walk and the Hangarfest, the company demonstrates its dedication to supporting important causes and inspiring others to do the same. Looking ahead, the firm plans to continue its involvement in these events to support breast cancer patients and their families.

For over 35 years, Breast Cancer Awareness, Inc. has been supporting local breast cancer patients in the Western Maryland, West Virginia, and Southern Pennsylvania areas. We provide free mammograms for those with little or no insurance and offer various free programs to assist fighters, survivors, and their families throughout their breast cancer journey.
