FREDERICK, MD, Nov. 8, 2024—DeLeon & Stang recently went on a college tour visiting local universities, including Hood College, Northern Virginia Community College, George Mason University, Shepherd University, Shenandoah University, and Towson University, to inspire and help students to join the accounting field.

On the tour, they attended job fairs and presented to classes and clubs at the universities, answering questions about the field of accounting and speaking on life at the firm. Throughout their discussions, the team shared insights about the various internship and career opportunities available to accounting students interested in audit, tax, and consulting or advisory services. Additionally, the team offered practical advice on several key strategies for career growth, such as resume building, interview preparation, and professional networking.

“Participating in these events is a great opportunity for us to connect with the community and build the industry,” said Brad Hoffman, Managing Partner at DeLeon & Stang. “We hope that these interactions inspire students to pursue a career in accounting if not an internship with us.”

The firm looks forward to continuing its participation in these events and even plans to host its own Open House events. These events will provide local students with a more immersive experience of life in the accounting industry and at DeLeon & Stang.
