FREDERICK, MD, Jan 26, 2024—DeLeon & Stang celebrated the promotions of Samantha Petrides, Kenzie Farran, and Todd Hershey during the company’s All-Hands meeting, marking another milestone in the firm’s dedication to fostering internal growth and professional development.

“At DeLeon & Stang, we are committed to investing in our people,” said Brad Hoffman, Managing Partner at DeLeon & Stang. “We believe that our employees are our greatest asset, and we are proud to provide them with the opportunities and resources they need to succeed.”

Samantha Petrides, In-Charge Accountant, CPA

Samantha joined the DeLeon & Stang team in January 2022 as a Staff Accountant. Her continuous display of self-discipline and perseverance, coupled with DeLeon & Stang’s Upstream Academy program, has led to her new role as In-Charge Accountant.

In August 2023, Ms. Petrides distinguished herself further by earning her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.

“D&S is committed to ensuring everyone has a reliable support system,” said Samantha Petrides. “Danny, my direct supervisor, has been instrumental in my journey, guiding me from my initial days as an intern to the professional level I have achieved today.”

Kenzie Farran, In-Charge Staff Accountant

Kenzie joined the DeLeon & Stang team in January 2022 as a Staff Account. Her dedication to her work and professionalism has led to her new role as In-Charge Staff Accountant. She has been tasked with training the new tax interns and intends to use DeLeon & Stang’s Pre-Manager Series program, from which she once benefited.

“DeLeon & Stang fosters a collaborative and empowering work environment,” said Kenzie Farran. “I feel fortunate enough to have colleagues who mentor me and push me to be my absolute best.”

Todd Hershey, Tax Supervisor, MBA

Todd joined the DeLeon & Stang team in January 2017 as a Tax Intern. Over the years, he has advanced through various positions, landing in his latest role, Tax Supervisor. Throughout his tenure, Todd has participated in numerous professional development programs and CPE trainings. Most notably, he has been invited to join the esteemed D&S Leadership program led by Jeremy Wortman.

In addition to his internal success, Todd spearheaded the revamp of the PPT and 1099 processes and restructured the firm’s intern onboarding/training procedure.

“I’m grateful to work for a company that values not only individual success but also the success of others. I attribute much of my achievements to the mentorship of Chris and Rich Stang, Brad Hoffman, and Steven Kurinsky, who helped me get to where I am today.”
