DeLeon & Stang Partner Named Treasurer of Community Ties

DeLeon & Stang Certified Public Accountants and Advisors is pleased to announce that Richard C. Stang, CPA, ABV, PFS, Partner, was recently named Treasurer of the non-profit organization, Community Ties, Inc.

“Community Ties fills an unmet need for families in crisis in Carroll, Frederick, Howard, and Montgomery counties,” said Stang. “I am excited to be a part of this organization and look forward to the positive impact it will have on our community.”

Community Ties, Inc. is a non-profit organization in the Mt. Airy area with a primary mission to provide encouragement, support, compassion, advice, and education to individuals and/or families during a personal crisis situation. They also help local faith-based organizations identify their gifts, talents, and strengths so they can better serve the community.

Stang has over 30 years of public accounting experience and has worked with individuals and businesses on tax planning and compliance, financial planning, and implementation of accounting systems. He holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree in Accounting from Frostburg State University. Stang is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of Community Associations Institute (WMCCAI), the Montgomery County Community Council and the Maryland Task Force for Common Ownership Communities. He also serves on the board of The Asbury Foundation and the Corporate Volunteer Council of Montgomery County (CVC). Stang and his wife, Maureen, reside in Woodbine, Maryland.
