DeLeon & Stang Manager Appointed to AICPA Committee
DeLeon & Stang Certified Public Accountants and Advisors is pleased to announce that Steven Kurinsky, CPA has recently been appointed to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Tax Practice Management Committee. Kurinsky will serve a 15-month term, beginning February 1, 2018.
“The AICPA is a valuable resource to CPAs and accounting professionals across the country and I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to serve on the organization’s Tax Practice Management Committee,” said Kurinsky. “This experience will hopefully enhance my ability to support both my clients and teammates.”
The AICPA’s Tax Practice Management Committee exists to monitor developments, trends, and best practices for the management of a tax practice or tax department. Members work together to develop guidance, tips, and other informational resources on practice management issues unique to the tax practitioner.
Kurinsky joined DeLeon & Stang in 2009 and currently serves as manager in the firm’s Leesburg, Virginia office. His primary responsibilities include preparing tax returns for businesses and individuals and providing consulting services to businesses in a variety of industries. He holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Accounting and Finance from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. He is a member of the AICPA and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA). Kurinsky currently resides in Reston, Virginia with his wife, Emily.
