FREDERICK, MD, Oct 7, 2023—DeLeon & Stang joined over 300 other volunteers taking part in the United Way of Frederick Day of Action. On this day, the United Way brings together the community to work on many different community projects. Erin Lawson, Director of Resource Development and Marketing for the United Way of Frederick County, said there were about 31 different projects going on in the county, ranging from delivering food to citizens to landscaping projects.

Jaime Senior, Kelly Phelps, Clint Lehman, Todd Hershey, and Mackenzie Farran from the DeLeon & Stang team celebrated at the kick-off at Nymeo Field. They then went on to help out the Arc of Frederick, a nonprofit organization that provides support and advocacy for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). While at The Arc, they washed windows, rolled silverware, and completely reorganized their storage area to be in compliance with the state.

“This is our second year participating in the United Way of Frederick’s Day of Action. It was well enjoyed last year, so we were really excited to come back to it this year,” said Jaime Senior.

In addition to participating in the United Way’s Day of Action for the past two years, DeLeon & Stang has previously worked with them on their Stuff the Bus initiative.

When asked about their future plans, Senior said, “We don’t have anything planned at this time through the end of the year, but we are always keeping our eye out for more ways to get involved. We are already looking forward to working with United Way in 2024 on their Stuff the Bus and Day of Action initiatives.”
