FREDERICK, MD, October 2019—Members of the DeLeon and Stang team donned pink DeLeon & Stang gear and ran the streets of Frederick, MD, for the Frederick Pink Ribbon 5K. DeLeon & Stang has been participating in the annual event for several years, 2019’s participants included Becca Burker, Terri King, Nico Hylton, Sandi Riggs, Kelley Phelps, Tim Larkin, Jeanie Price, and Jackie Pearce. Along with her teammates, Becca raised money for Breast Cancer awareness. Through her efforts, Becca raised $300 for the team.

“It’s really special to not only cross the finish line with your team but know that crossing the finish line means so much to so many,” said Becca Burker, Senior Auditor, DeLeon & Stang.

The Pink Ribbon 5K, put on by Hurwitz Breast Cancer Fund, benefitting Frederick Health each fall, raises donations to be used for direct patient benefit to save lives in Frederick County through early detection research. Over the past 20 years, participants have run/walked the streets of Frederick arm and arm with survivors and supporters to celebrate life and raise awareness.
